Statement of IIABNY Chair of the Board Todd Rockefeller About the Nomination of Maria T. Vullo as NYS Superintendent of Financial Services

(DeWitt, New York, Jan. 21, 2016) Todd Rockefeller, chair of the board of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York (IIABNY), issued the following statement today in response to Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s nomination of Maria T. Vullo as Superintendent of the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYSDFS):
 
“I congratulate Maria Vullo on her nomination to head the New York State Department of Financial Services. She has built a distinguished record in private practice and in the public sector. Should she receive confirmation from the New York State Senate, IIABNY looks forward to working with her to build vibrant insurance markets that will support New York’s businesses and consumers. I also wish to congratulate Gov. Andrew Cuomo on his selection of a candidate with such a breadth of experience to lead the department in the coming years.”
