Oct. 5, 2015 — The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York (IIABNY) has again received honors for its work in insurance education. It accepted the 2015 Excellence in Insurance Education (EIE) Diamond Award from the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA) at a ceremony in New Orleans, Louisiana last week.

Lounsbury, CAE, AAI, senior vice-president of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York, received the Bob Morris Award from a downstate insurance agents’ group this week. The Tri-County Independent Insurance Agents Association presented the award to her during a ceremony at its annual installation dinner, held June 15 in Carle Place, New York.

The State Fund said that it has begun offering blanket waivers of subrogation on Workers' Compensation insurance policies.
