What Would You Like Covered at 2015 Annual E&O Seminars?

For the past few years, we have provided IIABNY members with an opportunity to inform us of any issues, topics, questions or suggestions they want us to consider when we develop the outline for the association’s upcoming annual Errors and Omissions Loss Control seminars. Because we want to be sure to address the issues and topics you want to hear about, we request you share your ideas with us as we prepare the seminar outline. Once we hear back from you, we will prepare the final outline incorporating the suggestions we receive.

Usually, we start thinking about what to do for next year’s seminar series right after we complete the final seminars in late spring. Ordinarily, we prepare the outline in December for the seminars presented the following year. This timeline allows sufficient time for the outline to be approved by the New York State Department of Financial Services and for IIABNY to market the seminars to its members in the spring.

We encourage all IIABNY members to think about any items they want us to consider, including the seminar outline for the 2015 annual E&O loss control seminars. Any issues, topics, questions or suggestions related to the seminars should be sent to me, Jim Keidel, by email at jkeidel@kwcllp.com no later than Dec. 1. Be sure to type “2015 Annual E&O Seminars” (without the quotes) in the subject line of the email. I will then use the input from IIABNY members to develop the outline for the 2015 seminars.

We believe the annual E&O seminars IIABNY presents are a very important loss control tool the association offers to its members. No other state, except New York, conducts seminars like ours. The difference is our seminars change each year to address current issues and topics of concern. This constant change allows IIABNY members to keep current with important issues and topics, and it sets both IIABNY and its members apart from others when it comes to E&O loss control.

Mark your calendar now because the dates have already been set for the 2015 annual E&O seminars. The live seminars will be presented at the listed locations on the following dates:

Buffalo May 12, 2015 New York City June 3, 2015
Syracuse May 13, 2015 Westchester County June 4, 2015
Long Island June 2, 2015

The telecast seminar will again be presented live from Hudson Valley Community College in Troy on June 10, 2015 and telecast to 13 remote locations across New York state. Registration for the seminars will take place early spring 2015, after the course receives approval from the state Department of Financial Services.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to share your ideas with us. We look forward to your feedback and the 2015 annual E&O loss control seminars.
