$10 Tuesday is Back. This Time…it’s a Tournament.
Pick your team. Rally your local. Put $10 on the board.
$10 Tuesday is back on September 22, and this time, we’re turning up the competition.
Introducing the $10 Tuesday Tournament, a three-round competition bringing Big I New York’s local associations head-to-head to raise support for IAPAC and strengthen the voice of independent agents across New York.
And yes, bragging rights are absolutely on the line.
Your Local Is Your Team
Every Big I NY member can get in the game.
If you belong to a local association, every qualifying contribution you make puts points on the board for your local. Members who are not affiliated with a local will compete together as the Members-at-Large team.
The tournament kicks off with randomly selected matchups in Round 1. But unlike a traditional bracket, nobody gets knocked out. Every team competes in all three rounds, which means every contribution and every participant can make a difference in the final standings.
Round 1: September 22, 2026
Round 2: December 8, 2026
Round 3: March 9, 2027
Three rounds. One tournament. Plenty of opportunities to show up for your local and IAPAC.
$10 Gets You in the Game
You don’t need to make a huge contribution to make an impact.
That’s the point of $10 Tuesday.
A $10 contribution gets you into the tournament and adds another independent agent to your team’s participation total.
In fact, participation matters even more than dollars raised. Each matchup is scored based 75% on the percentage of members who participate and 25% on the total amount raised.
That means a local can’t win simply because a few people make large contributions. It takes a team.
The more members who step up, even with just $10, the stronger your local’s score becomes.
So, rally your coworkers. Text another Big I member. Challenge another agency. Share your contribution on LinkedIn and tag Big I NY.
(The fine print: Each round therefore has a 72-hour contribution period. IAPAC contributions of $10 or more will count toward the tournament if they are received electronically (Big I NY website, VENMO, or SQUARE) between 12:00 p.m. ET on the Monday preceding each round and 12:00 p.m. ET on the Thursday following each round.)
Every $10 counts. Every participant counts.
What Are We Playing For?
Bragging rights are fun. The reason behind the tournament matters even more.
IAPAC, the Big I New York Independent Agent Political Action Committee, helps independent agents build and strengthen relationships with New York lawmakers and support candidates who understand the importance of a strong insurance marketplace.
Those relationships help get independent agents in the room where decisions are being made.
When legislation and regulation have the potential to affect your agency, your clients and New York’s insurance marketplace, we want lawmakers to know who independent agents are, understand the work you do and hear your perspective.
IAPAC helps make that possible.
Your contribution helps Big I NY continue building relationships with elected officials, raising awareness of the issues affecting our industry and ensuring independent agents and brokers have a voice in conversations that matter.

How to Compete
When the tournament starts, contributing is simple.
Make an individual contribution of $10 or more to IAPAC during the round’s qualifying contribution window through the Big I NY website, Venmo or Square. Your contribution will automatically count toward your local association or the Members-at-Large team.
Each round’s contribution window runs for 72 hours, from 12:00 p.m. ET on the Monday before $10 Tuesday through 12:00 p.m. ET on Thursday.
And once you’ve contributed, show us!
Snap a selfie, share it on LinkedIn or your favorite social platform, tag Big I New York and let your fellow members know which team you’re playing for.
Then challenge someone else to put $10 on the board.

Tournament Details
All Big I New York members are eligible to participate. Tournament standings are based 75% on the percentage of individuals participating relative to the number of member agencies represented by each group and 25% on total dollars raised.
Multiple contributions from the same individual during a round will count toward the team’s total dollars raised, but that individual will count once toward participation. Only individual contributions to IAPAC qualify.
The $10 Tuesday Tournament is separate from Big I NY’s Stack the PAC competition and does not determine the Stack the PAC Champion.
