Work Comp Board To Stop Accepting Faxes
The New York State Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) has announced it will soon stop accepting submissions of forms sent by fax. The board recently sent the following email:
“The New York State Workers’ Compensation Board will stop accepting paper forms via fax effective April 1, 2026. This change is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of processing workers’ compensation documentation.
We strongly encourage all stakeholders to review their current processes and make any necessary updates to ensure compliance with this new policy. Information and instructions on other submission options can be found on the Forms webpage and on each form itself.
Effective April 1, 2026, the Board’s current fax numbers will be discontinued, and we will not accept faxed submissions. Additional reminders and updates will be issued as we approach April 1, 2026. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, please call the Board at (877) 632-4996.”
Please make a note of this change and prepare now to begin submitting forms electronically if your agency does not already do so.
