Big I New York Leaders Appointed to National Big “I” Committees
Big I New York is proud to recognize six New York insurance professionals who have been appointed to national committees, councils, and boards of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (the Big “I”).
Congratulations to:
- Ashley Engl, named chair of the Young Agents Committee
- Jim Cotgreave, appointed to the InsurPac Board of Trustees
- Kathy Glahn, appointed to the Cooperative Technology Committee
- Lisa Lounsbury, appointed to the Diversity Council and Large Agents & Brokers Council
- Ron Brunell, appointed to the Large Agents & Brokers Council and Professional Liability Committee
- Ted Walsh, appointed to the Large Agents & Brokers Council
These appointments bring an impressive range of New York insurance experience and leadership to the national level.
Ashley Engl recently completed her tenure as chair of NextGen NY, where she helped support and engage the next generation of independent insurance professionals across the state. We are thrilled to see her continue working on a larger stage as chair of the national Young Agents Committee.
Several of the appointees also bring years of leadership within Big I New York. Lisa Lounsbury, president & CEO of Big I New York, will serve on both the Diversity Council and Large Agents & Brokers Council. Ron Brunell, Big I NewYork’s national director, will serve on the Large Agents & Brokers Council and Professional Liability Committee. Ted Walsh, a past president and chair of the Big I New York Board of Directors, will also lend his experience to the Large Agents & Brokers Council.
Kathy Glahn, SVP of Operations & Information Systems, will bring her expertise to the Cooperative Technology Committee, while Jim Cotgreave will serve on the InsurPac Board of Trustees.
Together, these appointments give New York independent agents a strong voice across a wide range of national conversations, from technology and professional liability to advocacy, agency leadership and the development of the industry’s next generation.
We congratulate Ashley, Jim, Kathy, Lisa, Ron and Ted on their appointments and thank them for continuing to give their time, knowledge, and experience in service to the independent agency community.
