Q: Does a Personal Auto Policy Cover Driving During a State of Emergency?
A: Probably yes. It’s hard to say for certain without reading the actual policy form. Still, the ISO Personal Auto Policy does not contain exclusions for driving during a state of emergency for either liability or physical damage. A quick check of descriptions of other carriers’ forms did not reveal exclusions like that, either. Therefore, a typical PAP is likely to respond. What will happen to the premium at the next renewal is another story.
