Women in Insurance Summit
Our inaugural Big I NY Women in Insurance Summit brought together a SOLD-OUT crowd of women from across the independent insurance industry for a day of connection, confidence, and growth.
On September 30, we transformed the Forbes Theater in Buffalo into a space where women from every role came to invest in themselves, share their stories, and build a community of support and inspiration.
From the energizing keynote “Grit, Growth & Gumption: Unlocking the G-Force Code” with Tinsley English, to the “Nail Your Perfect Pitch!” workshop with Jenn Urso, and the candid conversations that followed, every moment was crafted to help attendees own their voices and take actionable steps forward. The day ended with reflection, gratitude, and a renewed sense of purpose as women left feeling proud, inspired, and ready to lead with confidence.
This event marked the beginning of a movement; one defined by authenticity, courage, and community. The inspiration sparked in Buffalo is just the start, and we can’t wait to see how this momentum continues to grow.

| 2:00 PM | Level Up a Skill Nail Your Personal Pitch! with Jenn Urso “So, what do you do?” This is often one of the first questions we ask or are asked in American culture, whether at a networking event, coffee shop, or cocktail party. That seemingly simple question is an invitation to define, promote, and sell ourselves, essentially helping us to open or close doors. The answer to that question is our verbal business card- sharing who we are, what we do, and why it matters. Shaping your verbal business card can be tricky. You have a short amount of time to capture attention, make a positive impression, and create a connection. In this session, Jenn Urso, executive coach and leadership development strategist, will walk us through an exercise to help you define or refine your verbal business card. You’ll leave with greater clarity and confidence, ready to pitch yourself clearly. |
