Jay Williams is the Director of Strategic Execution & Agency Consulting for Big I New York, where he partners with internal leadership teams to strengthen execution, improve accountability, and support programs that deliver meaningful value to members.
With a background spanning insurance underwriting, operations, agency leadership, and organizational strategy, Jay brings a structured, pragmatic approach, helping leaders cut through complexity and move from discussion to action. His work focuses on clarifying priorities, strengthening leadership effectiveness, and improving follow-through while remaining grounded in real-world operational realities.
Prior to joining Big I NY, Jay built his career as an underwriter across multiple lines and subject areas, with an overall specialization in casualty risk. He also brings hands-on experience leading sales teams and operational functions within agencies and carriers, enabling him to bridge strategic thinking with day-to-day execution.
He resides in Rhode Island with his husband and frequently travels throughout New York in support of Big I NY and its member community. Outside of work, Jay keeps up with politics and current events, enjoys a good TV binge, and never turns down a great movie, good music, or a night at the theater.
