Two Minutes With Tim: NY Child Victims Act (When The Insurer Is No More)

In February 2019, the NYS governor signed the Child Victims Act. The purpose of this law is to allow people who suffered sexual abuse as children to obtain compensation, with one section of the law temporarily eliminating the statute of limitations for these claims.

So, what happens when a company that issued a policy, for example, back in 1972, is no longer in business?  Tim Dodge has the answer in this quick video.
