Chief Operating Officer, North American Field Operations at Chubb

Jeffrey A. Updyke is Chief Operating Officer, North American Field Operations. He is responsible for coordinating the companys North American distribution relationships, branch operations, sales results and practices, and field analytics resources. In addition, he oversees Chubb Insurance Solutions Agency. Jeff is a 26-year insurance professional, most recently serving as Executive Vice President, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager for Chubb's Commercial Insurance unit. Prior to ACEs acquisition of Chubb in January 2016, he was the Northeast Region Chief Operating Officer.

He joined Chubb in 1991 as an excess umbrella underwriter in Chubbs White Plains, N.Y., branch office, later joining Great American Insurance/Ohio Casualty Group in Syracuse, N.Y., in 1995 as an excess umbrella underwriter and Agency Operations Manager at Great American Insurance. He rejoined Chubb in 2000, and during the course of his career at the company has served in number of positions of increasing responsibility in underwriting and field management in the U.S.

In addition to his responsibilities at Chubb, Jeff recently completed a three-year term as President of the Board of Managers of The Boys & Girls Club of New Haven, Conn.

President and Chief Executive Officer, Hanover Insurance

An accomplished leader and highly experienced senior executive with more than 30 years of experience in the property and casualty industry, Jack was appointed president and chief executive officer of The Hanover in October 2017. Under Jack's leadership, The Hanover is intently focused on building on its unique competitive position as a leading property and casualty company with a set of high-quality capabilities, delivered through a select network of the best independent agents in the business.

Since joining the company in 2006, Jack has served in several senior leadership positions. He most recently served as president, Hanover Agency Markets, where he was responsible for the company's personal and commercial lines business, leading the company's efforts to expand business written through its agent partners. Jack also has held the roles of president, business insurance; and vice president, field operations, marketing and distribution, across both personal and commercial lines; as well as vice president, underwriting and product management, commercial lines.

In addition to his responsibilities at The Hanover, Jack serves on the board of directors for The Institutes and American Property Casualty Insurance Association. 


Tyler Asher
President of Independent Agent Distribution, Liberty Mutual & Safeco

Tyler Asher is president of Independent Agent Distribution at Liberty Mutual, leading Safeco personal lines and Liberty Mutual business lines distribution through independent agents. Tyler joined Safeco in 1999 and has served in a variety of leadership roles, most recently as president, Safeco Insurance. He has a deep understanding of the industry and how carriers and independent agents must adapt together to succeed in the rapidly changing marketplace. This ensures the combined $13 billion Liberty/Safeco organization is focused on deepening partnerships with agents. During Tyler's tenure as president, Safeco introduced Safeco Ignite, a best-in-class rewards and recognition program for independent agents, as well as expanded Safeco's industry-leading book transfer capabilities.

Tyler is active in the Seattle community, supporting several health and human service organizations.

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Selective Insurance Group, Inc.

Gregory E. Murphy is Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Selective Insurance Group, Inc. He led the company's strategic growth to become a super-regional property casualty insurance provider that offers commercial, personal, flood and excess and surplus insurance across select regions in the U.S. 

During his 39-year tenure at Selective, Greg has accumulated broad experience in all aspects of finance and operations through positions of increasing seniority.  He joined Selective in 1980 as a member of the Finance department. He became Senior Vice President, Finance in 1994, Chief Financial Officer in 1995, and President and Chief Operating Officer in 1997. Two years later, Greg was named President and Chief Executive Officer, and in 2000, he assumed the role of Chairman. In 2013, he transitioned to his current role. 

In addition to his responsibilities at Selective, Greg serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of the American Property Casualty Insurance Association and a member of the Board of Overseers at St. John's University School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science.

President and Chief Executive Officer, Reagan Consulting

Bobby Reagan brings more than three decades of insurance industry experience to the company that bears his name. After graduating with high honors from the University of Tennessee, where he earned BS and MS degrees in Industrial Engineering, Bobby joined a Southeastern regional insurance brokerage firm as a commercial property and casualty producer. During his 10 years with the firm, he served in regularly ascending capacities, including COO.

Bobby received his CPCU designation in 1980. In 1984, he joined the consulting firm of Hales & Associates and, the following year, opened its Atlanta office. Two years later, in 1987, he became president of the firm and, in 1992, was elected Chairman and CEO. In April 1995, Hales & Associates underwent reorganization, and Reagan Consulting was formed as a result.

Bobbys expertise and integrity have ensured his reputation as a true authority within the insurance industry. He has been a thought leader as evidenced by his creation of the Best Practices Study and his leading and taking an active role in the numerous research studies initiated and performed by Reagan Consulting. He has consulted with many of the countrys most successful insurance agents and brokers, and worked with many leading financial institutions on their insurance initiatives. He has led strategic planning initiatives for agents and brokers, leading industry associations and insurance carriers. He has been recognized as an industry expert in Federal and state courts throughout the US.
